dannyboy131
Hi, i have a 1990 Acura Integra LS and i was wondering what types of engines would fit best in it with minimal fabrication (or none at all). And does it really matter what year the engine is for a swap?
Humphries
all b, h, and f series motors will fit. you just need mounts.
compuvision02
B-series would be the easiest and I believe you could use the mounts from your LS engine, but not 100%. All your stuff should work, just need to take the old motor out and drop in the new. You will have to re-wire the harness for VTEC. H-series are a tighter squeeze and you will have to change the axles, cut a hole for the shifter, and a couple other things that are not fun to do. F-series, I do not know too much about, but you will have to change a lot of things like the H-series, I believe.

mycarsux
Year shouldn't matter for fitment. Look around your town first before you go shopping online for your motor. Paying for shipping should be a last resort.
compuvision02
Well, you may have to convert the harnesses to OBDII or OBDI. Isn't 1990 and below OBDI?
mycarsux
Well, you may have to convert the harnesses to OBDII or OBDI. Isn't 1990 and below OBDI? This is true, I forgot about OBD's
dannyboy131
Whats a OBD?
mycarsux
On board diagnostics I never really understood it. But everytime I think OBD I think emissions. OBDI is less restrictive on emissions while OBDII is more restrictive. That's all I really know about it off the top of my head.
xalexjx@yahoo.com
you want to stay your gen, cheaper and easier, basically anything 91 and older, also converting to obd-1 may be a good idea if you plan on presicion tuning /boost,
