adas
Hi, I have a 96 Honda Accord that recently -- meaning just a few days back -- started to experience a grinding/chirping noise ONLY when turning right at low speed -- I assume it's either a bad wheel bearing or cv joint (driver's side). Now, I would like to replace it, but was wondering how easy/hard it would be to do so -- wouldn't it be easiest to buy and replace the whole left axle shaft instead of messing with cv joints' replacemet? How hard is it to replace a bad cv joint / wheel bearing in comparison to the whole axle shaft? Would I need special tools for the job? thanks!!!! Kastigir
Easier to replace the whole axle than just the joint. You have a couple of options. You can either go with an Autozone, lifetime warranty replace, or a re manufactured one from your local Honda dealer.
