not_all_motor_civic94 Posted December 13, 2006 Share Posted December 13, 2006 i have this block that has one of the head bolt threads stripped out if you follow the torque specs its the second one you torque down??? the one in the very middle on the exhaust side...what should i do can a machine shop fix it? the bolt is fine its deffently the threads in the block Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Campbell990 Posted December 14, 2006 Share Posted December 14, 2006 Helicoils look like little springs. the stripped hole is drilled and tapped and a helicoil is inserted and your polt threads into the helicoil.
