s and si model auto tranny difference

i kno that the driveshaft like thickness iss differnt bc i have a del sol si wit a s model tranny and when i had to fix that i got hte si and it didnt fit so i got the s and it fit rite in.. so it there really a big difference in the gear ratio auto tranny from the s model to the si model?

all d series tranny's bolt up to d series engines so if its on an s model that means the engine is non vtec and i think the tranny is geared different than the tranny is on the si model im not sure the specs on that completely but there is no reason that it shouldnt bolt up
