airjordan223
sounds like a good plan but 4,500 and then labor....how is that cheaper than putting on a turbo?
90IntegraC1
well i'd need to build the motor somewhat anyway if i wanted to boost more than 8 lbs....so that's turbo cams, cam gears, valvetrain, rods, low comp pistons, and then add on the pieced together turbo kit...$$$$$$ aaaand, no matter how much money I spend, there's always gonna be a faster car, so I'm gonna go with the less expensive option. maybe in the far far far future I go with ITB's, but as for now, this is how it's gonna be. Hatch92
sounds like a good plan but 4,500 and then labor....how is that cheaper than putting on a turbo? because your gonna buy alot of the same parts plus the turbo kit. that's if you do it the right way. Pyrorocketeer
are ITB's really worth it? I mean, those things aren't too cheap.....
90Tegtyper
ITB's all the way... no restriction at all. ..SSR..
Those RM and CP prices are crap. ITB's don't always make more power.
SolLesHonda
ITB's can make good power, but not always more, as stated above. Get an AEBS IM IMO. Don't need new valves IMO. Get the 11:1 pistons for DD. Get some tranny work. Sounds like an awesome build. NA FTW.
90IntegraC1
Those RM and CP prices are crap. ITB's don't always make more power. um continue....they're straight from the website, if he gave more details then I would be more accurate with pricing. Help me out. ITB's can make good power, but not always more, as stated above. Get an AEBS IM IMO. Don't need new valves IMO. Get the 11:1 pistons for DD. Get some tranny work. Sounds like an awesome build. *edited*-gsrcrx found one, edited OP also....thanks I forgot, there are brand new valves installed 11.1 FTW, I thought 12.5:1 sounded wayyyy too high lol Tranny work-Updated Thank you sir
Chubs
Great choice on the BDL products, I have a BDL fuel rail,BDL 66mm throttle body and BDL cam gears, very happy with their products.
GsrCrx
Here dan.. AEBS Typhoon Intake Manifold Same one Im getting.. I just realised, we are going to have similar setups... Except yours will be a LSVtec and Mine will be GSR.... probably 11:1 also, but since its not a daily driver, maybe 12.5:1, I gotta see whats has to go into keeping it running at 12.5:1 because the last thing I want to do is blow this thing up... 90IntegraC1
Chubs-yeah I've done some research on them and everyone keeps saying how happy they are with their products, so I thought I'd give them a try. gsrcrx-thanks dude! *OP Edited*
compuvision02
Tune: J-K Tuning, base map set on a P72 ECU after an OBD-0~OBD-1 Conversion for $150, then Dyno tune for $300 I'm guessing you talked to John about pricing?
mycarsux
ITB's ain't worth it, IMO. Though they are a nice touch they don't make as much power as one would expect. Its kind of disappointing cause they look and sound awesome.
compuvision02
Yeah, I hear they aren't the most effective setup, sometimes. I want them regardless for the look, sound, and more "unique" setup.

compuvision02
I love the "bling" factor. That's why my parts list is generally J-Spec Honda, Spoon, Mugen, and the such. K-Series with ITB's sounds so much better then B-Series with ITB's, so that clip doesn't really "show" anything.

xxscaxx
there's always going to be a faster car, of course. but its the fact that once you get used to something you want MORE...so make sure the power your going to get is going to be enough (which in most cases it wont b/c it never is lol). nice buildup though. but heres an idea.... GET ON WITH IT and stop making threads about it
