more expensive, more weight, and not much more, if any more, flow. the engine just doesn't need that much flow in the exhaust. it won't help you, and since no aftermarket companies make one, it will be less efficient than a single pipe aftermarket one.

Hey im the lazy kid, yeah what i wanna do is get a Y pipe and run (2) 1 3/4" -2" pipe back to 2 smaller mufflers not the big huge can mufflers im just worried it will mess up the back pressure i have seen a couple sols with dual pipes and it looks bad ass

Here's the problem. 2.25" to 2.38" is going to be the best single pipe diamater. If you run 2 - 2" pipes after the Y then it would be the same as a 4" pipe which you will lose a big chunk of power throughout the entire powerband. To make a dual exhaust effective and actually gain hp you would need 2 - 1.25" pipes after the y which would still not perform as well as one 2.25" pipe and would look silly with such small pipes.

So, you're going to have to decide, do you want an exhaust that's going to

a. look silly as duals but perform decent

b. look good as duals but lose performance

c. look good as a single and perform well

<a href="http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j263/DK93DelSol/DualPipe.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a> I think that is bad ass looking i dunno i just think it looks awesome

Im not really mattered with Speed lol my car is slow anyway its the base S model but i do have an intake and stuff on it im just worried about whether i put just say 1.5 inch pipe on it whether it would bog out because of no back pressure. and i am always wondering how it would sound becasue i have a single exhaust with a 2 inch pipe and it dont sound how i want it i want it more of a deep sound instead of the higher bumble bee sound

Honestly, I don't think you can pull this off in a way that you could benefit in any power gain. 2 1.15"-1.25" pipes could work, but that's almost pointless b/c your OEM single pipe exhaust diameter is around those dimensions....so it would be the same flow, just split at the Y for no reason.

You're not boosted like a SRT-4

You don't have the displacement of a SRT-4

You don't have a 2nd exhaust pipe cut-out in your rear bumper

Don't do it.

If that's your ideal sol, then by all means screw performance and go dual pipe -- there's nothing we can say to save you.

I saw a sol with dual exhausts once in a parking lot and laughed out loud. I tried to take a picture of it but my phone/camera had just run out of batteries.

dual exhaust sol is ftl it doesn't fit the car at all. and i agree with everyone else. if that sol is your idea of a sweet car then you've been lost for a while and nobody is gonna be able to save you.
