if its a daily driver, then yeah. some people like the look and do it for that reason. unless youre doing the full weight reduction thing, youre not going to notice a few pounds

i used to love CF.. im definitely getting a CF hood just because im in love of how it looks on my car.. but i dont like anything else in CF.

some people go alllll out.

like they build a box of subs in the back and because it has CF wrap on it, they still think it doesnt weight that much.

CF is rice..

FYI, Chubs has a crack in his CF hood. Up near the windshield...passenger side.

DAMN YOU !! ahaha nah what happened was I bought the hood used off a friend for 100$! He said what happened was when he ordered it when it came that corner was cracked but he put an apoxy on it so it wouldnt get any worse. Its not too bad prolly about an inch and a half in width.

I got my CF Hood b/c my stock hood had a huge dent in the front with some oxidized paint and scratches everywhere to top it off.

I like it, and it was cheaper than buying a primered hood for a re-spray.

Yeah, buying it for performance is stupid. 5 gallons of gasoline is about the same weight as the difference in a carbon hood vs. stock. Can anybody actually tell a difference in performance with a half tank vs. full tank? A better argument would be that it helps even out the weight distribution on a front heavy FF car....(which is still a stretch).

Actually, when I'm around E I feel a difference over Full, but other than that no....not at all.

And unless your car is 100 % cabon fiber, no one should say they bought it for weight purposes.

One more thing: what the hell is up with Carbon Fiber Fenders?!? a fender weighs, oh i dunno, 3 pounds lol....
