Word to the original poster, dont judge us and think we dont know our sh!t just because we are Honda owners.

I meant that I thought you wouldn't know much about the sizings and fittings on a corvette. No insult intended

go with intake mounted twin screw charger. you dont need 1000 horse , nor do you want it.

how bout it.... anything over 550 gets iffy on the street....

what are you doing to lay all this power down? tires, tranny, axles, suspension, BRAKES ...... more than just slapping on a turbo, especially 2 of them on a vette.....

twin turbo vette, is no longer a daily driver. Unless you have deep pockets for gas and tires.

This isn't his DD, as he said it was stored for winter.

To pyro- Does Garrett not make both turbos? Are they not both internal combustion engines?

You are just doubling the amount of equipment. Instead of one GT35R, you need two. Two turbo manifolds, sets of charge pipes, etc.

Thats not how a twin turbo works, you could use GT35R's if you wanted but depending on the motor you would only have one manifold one intercooler with 2 inlet and outlet ports

Not really true. A twin turbo vette will get better gas mileage (highway at least) than a supercharged vette. For example, the owners of the STS kit are actually seeing an improvement in gas mileage over stock on highway driving, because the car is running more effeciently with the kit.

I vote for twin-turbo, but find a kit like the one Chubs posted rather than the rear mounted STS kit.

Considering what he said. How can a supercharger possibly have better gas mileage? Any supercharger that is even near half decent is gas driven. It takes gas to use it. On the other hand, turbos are used directly off of the exhaust gas <.<

Are you agreeing with me or not agreeing with me? I'm confused.....anyway, what you said is exactly my point. The STS twin turbo makes more horsepower but makes it much more effeciently which is why it gets better gas mileage.

I was responding to the "twin turbo vette, is no longer a daily driver. Unless you have deep pockets for gas and tires." comment, since you wouldn't be spending more money on gas neccesarily.
