Rick B.
ok, well what do you have done to the gsr yet? are there any mods on the actual gsr, or is it just a straight stock gsr?
Hatch92
if you wana stick with all motor i would cat a cold air, header, and a catback for right now. if you want to boost it then i wouldn't buy a cold air i would keep the short ram for right now. 90IntegraC1
I'd start with some exterior and suspension modifications since you have the B17A1, and pretty decent engine stock. Coilovers are what you should do as far as a drop is concerned. I just did Springs on cheap KYB struts and they blew, now i have to go buy omni-power coilovers and fix what I messed up. Don't make the same mistake as me. Click here for a great set of Omni-Power coilovers for a nice price, check em out. Exterior-Wheels (no bigger than 16" please!), tires, tint, CF Hood, Front Lip, Rear Lip, Side Skirts, JDM One-piece headlights......NO ALTEZZA's! --> another mistake i made back in the day, never heard the end of it. Engine-Naturally Aspirated or Boosted, you can make good power either way, and they both aren't cheap. Pick up some Camshafts, Cam Gears, Valve Springs, Retainers, Valves, 1 or 2 layer head gasket to bump the compression, etc...install them and get a nice tune and you'll pick up some extra power. Good names for these types of parts are Crane, Crower, Skunk 2, Rocket Motorsports, Supertech, AEM, Megan Racing, etc... Intake, Header, and Exhaust are a MUST for these N/A applications. AEM, Injen, J's Racing, SMSP, DC-Sports, Edlebrock, Megan Racing, Tanabe, Borla, Apexi, Greddy, and RS*R are just a few examples of quality brands that offer these parts. The block is another thing to consider building at some point-Pistons, Rods, Lightweight Crank Pulley, Blueprinted and Balanced, Bored and Honed, Stroked.....all these being very pricey btw.-Eagle, JE, CP, or OEM Honda pistons can be used to bump up the compression. Boost-click here for a nice turbo write up. Click here to check out my write-up for boosting a DA, although it's for lsvtec, you could use the same parts and get away with it. Good luck, and here's a few pics of my car for ideas.... all images courtesy of Chris(PA). any more questions just let me know....later
