red91z
First post first stupid question I know. I'm looking at buying a 91 prelude SI. The car has a broken timing belt which obviously means the head is hurt. The engine has 178,000 miles and apparently is hard to find as I've had no luck for decent money. Is there another engine that will swap in. They show two vin codes for the same year. This one has the 3. Will the other engine work. Someone enlighten me with the differences. Kegger
The head won't necessarily be hurt. Those motors have a good piston to deck clearance so no need to worry about that. But just get a B20 and you'll be fine if you're really that afraid of the head being messed up.
