i think it comes down to personal preference, just like mac vs pc. i like ps3 better since ive always had a playstation, i like the controller and the games, the old xbox controlled sucked imo. the new 360 is nice without a doubt but im going to get a ps3 once the second fleet comes out and the glitches are fixed

I want the PS3 the most, but will be waiting until about spring time or so.

I put Wii for buying first, although I wouldn't be buying it. I asked Joey to get me one for our anniversary or Christmas, so we'll see.

PS3 for the best.

I voted Xbox 360 all the way through, the reason being after playing Gears of War I'm just too amazed at how much better that is than the PS3. I say that because I played NBA 2007 for PS3 at Game Stop and the graphics were absolutely terrible.

I do like Nintedo Wii, but I played some off road challenge game and it looked like Game Cube lol...

The Wii is kinda cool I guess, said I would want it the most because it's different from other consoles and not just better graphics.

The PS3 is just lame.. way overpriced and not even as good as the 360. Kinda sad on Sony's part.

thsocom3- Uh, yeah you can. If you knew what the specs mean, and I don't, but people that do will tell you the 360 is techincally better.

7.7 million 360's??? Damn! Thats $300 million in sales.

$300 million in sales doesn't mean anything. Both Sony and Microsoft are still losing money every time they sell a console. Only Nintendo is profiting, although they could still turn a profit with a $150 tag. That kind of makes me wish they had tried to compete graphically a little more, or at least cut the price a bit.

Still, the future of games is not in l33t gr4phics but in innovation, as 90 points out. NBA 2007 is a perfect example: high poly-count with no art direction looks like plastic. Anyone played the new Zelda. That's a Cube game and it looks gorgeous because it has great art direction.

how do you figure?

you have to think that, to us, the individual components would be expensive. however, I'm sure Sony doesn't have to pay full retail price for those components. the PS3 just came out, therefore Sony hasn't sold enough to profit from it yet because the initial price to build all of those PS3s was so high.

I wouldn't base an opinion of the PS3 on a Game Stop experience. NBA 2k7 really isn't a flashy game and it's not Sony's fault the game company didn't take full advantage of the PS3 package.

I own 360, its great...

Dead rising is just plain fun...

Gears of War is excellent...

and Forza 2 is going to pwn...

Only thing is my tv isnt as good as the console... 19 inch tv just dosent do it justice, all the games comming out are designed for HDTV's and if you dont have one... its not as good. I cant even read any of the text in dead rising :(

PS3 is over rated at the moment because all the games suck for the most part. the PS3 wont be "worth it" til about a year from now. the 20gig PS3 is pointless, if youre going to spend that much might as well get the 60gig and get the HDMI output to utilize the HD quality. although i dont agree with pyrorocketeer that its better souly on having blu ray, i do think that it is much more cost efficient if you do buy blu ray movies. that cheapest blu ray player out right now, i think there is only 2, but its 999.99. that makes PS3 a more logical buy. although like PS2 if you play too many movies, your system will eventually not read the games and only movies. there are many reports of it not playing the opld PS1 and PS2 games like it claims to do but like i said, a year from now the PS3 will blow everything else out the water. Wii is gay IMO, ive played it and it sucks, im not that into video games that im actually going to twirl around and swing at mid-air just to play a game.

i hvae a PS3 on pre-order, im next in line so i should get it soon but since it has a few glitches that i dont want to experience, im getting the 60gig model, loading windows media edition on it and running it as an onboard system for my honda :), and since im getting the 2 year warranty through sony incase of any glitches, i will have an HD entertainment sytem/EMS for my rex with in a year.

and ive never liked xbox. haha k im done

It was one example of why the ps3 is better. Just one example......

I <3 360..

This could go on forever...

I think the 360 and PS3 "debate" has turned more to taste than performance...

To give the PS3 credit, its only been out a short while... compare the 2 when the ps3 has been out for a year or so like the 360, give devolipers(sp?) time to make games and it will be much easier to see the diffrences...
