cranny
use somin to make a mark where the old dizzy meets the engine. unhook the 2 plugs from the dizzy. take the 3 , 12mm bolts out that hold it on. remove it. reverse it.

cranny
no it should be timed , but if you mark it , and your car ran fine before duzzy problems , you should be ok. but if you have access to a timing light than yes , absolutely retime the engine. if you have one , and need know how , let me know. tazz
yes my neighbor has one i can use so if you could tell me how to then that would be great. But you said that it should be timed already right. If so then i wont need to do that however if you think it is best to retime then i will do that. Kastigir
What cranny is saying, is that *if* you put the new one on in exactly the same place as the old one, it won't need retimed. That being said, I've never marked it, and when I put the new dizzy on it was either still perfect, or close enough to not be noticeable.
cranny
thats bad mechanics kast honestly. you should always mark them. you wouldnt beleve how much a mm on the dizzy can make your timing off. and you may not nitice it , but its eating more fuel , wearing your engine faster , so on so forth. point being , if your gonna do somin , mine as well do it right , specially when its no more difficult than the half ass way. on the main pully , turn the engine over by hand , first set of marks you come to are timing marks , 3 of them in a row , you want to mark the middle one white so you can see it good when light flashes. now start your car , holding revs at 2500 till the fan starts under the hood , means the car is fully warmed up. than you wanna go in your passenger side floor kick panel , find the blue 2 pin connector by the ecu , same one for getting codes. its not plugged into nothing , should just be hanging there or plugged into a holder which also tends to be blue. cross the 2 wires in that connector to one another. than you wanna hook the timing light up , and start engine again with 2 wires crossed. and aim the gun straight down the pointer on the plastic cover that covers timing belt , youl find it. make sure your looking perfectly down that pointer , and when light flashes , the white mark you made should be exactly lined up with pointer. if its not , adjust dizzy till it is. tighten everything up , and drive.
