psychocoder
Hello everyone, I'm pretty new here (only a couple posts so far) and I have a couple questions. I am the proud owner of a 1983 Honda Accord (dont laff at the year, it still gets 33MPG+) with an automatic tranny. My questions are: When is it best to check the tranny fluid? (when the cars running, off, cold, warm?) What is a good tranny fluid? ( I currently have Castrol) Your help would be greatly appreciated
cranny
most autos you check with the car at operating temp and not running. but thats an oldie man so check a manual or somin. make sure you smell it , if it smells like burnt toast , you either need an MRI , or your fluid changed , lol. Jeffro
Engine off? I haven't had too many auto transmissions, but I know at work we have saturns that the engine should be running... I agree though, check the manual or get a Haynes manual (or chiltons)
