dcletten
why so wide in the rear?
99CiViCSi99
hes got to have the rear wheels wide so when hes drifting he grips better...
SolLesHonda
Yeah dude. If you'll be doing a lot of driving in tokyo back roads, you need some wide tires man. Get like 16x12. That should do it. ######.
..SSR..
WTF? why would you get 16x9's? No, 9's won't fit

Attaus
It's for better surface area when he pulls the e-brake and does a manual drift.. duh..
99CiViCSi99
yea iheard doing that its really good for your car... makes it live longer.
Pballer2005
lol civs are front wheel drive buddy. if you try doing a manual drift with wide tires like that you're going to destroy ur rear brakes cuz thats alot of rubber to stop turning. puts some donuts on the back and regualr tires on the front and have some fun civics are front heavy and front wheel drive so get wider tires in the front if you REALLY need it, otherwise it looks soooo retarded, i've seen it on track civs with front slicks http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddim...zMXk1NDE%3D.jpg not my car, just an example and since you have fron wheel drive and are front heavy you will get understeer anyways, try going around a corner at 60 w00t
Pyrorocketeer
maybe he is building a track car? wider is better as long as you can still heat the tires up to optimum temp!
dcletten
but in the rear? come on now
cranny
9" is a little extreme. wheels you can fit under the car without cutting the hell out of it are plenty enough for any application ive seen. i had 15" by 7" wide rims with a VW corrado offset on my 91 civic about 8 years ago , lol , wasnt a good scene , rubbed the quarters and cut into my tires first time i pushed it , was pissed. they sticked out a little bit past the body panels too , looked gay. ..SSR..
Unless you're racing you only need 7". 9 won't fit, period.
blk99SI
Ok first off its for looks, Im doing it to be different...Not to be a d*ck or anything, but Im not stupid and I know its not going to benefit me in anyway with driving. Second off I dont have an ITR so I wont be drifting...Track only....

Attaus
Why would you drift in an ITR? 7.5" is what I have on my Lude and that's flush, so.. no.. 9 will stick out like a lowrider.

Attaus
Ok, well you asked if you could do it without "pulling" your fenders. I was simply saying no. I guess you just answered your own question. PS-- Creating your own mold and making your own WB kit would give you 1000000x bigger props than pulling your fenders. It's kind of ghetto and will probably damage it somehow or another.
