Shiftty Posted June 28, 2006 Share Posted June 28, 2006 Ok this may be an easy fix but im F***ed right now. I cant open my trunk with the key that came with the car. I'm thinking it may be a valet key. I tryed opening from inside works fine, until I tried the lock next to the truck latch. TLontheDL Posted June 29, 2006 Share Posted June 29, 2006 some cars have 2 set of keys. 1 key can start the car AND be used to unlock the trunk. another key can only start the car. seems like you have the key that can only start the car (and unlock/lock the doors) if you bought the car recently, contact the seller and see if there is another set of key. CRG7 Posted June 29, 2006 Share Posted June 29, 2006 Yes, it's the valet key. As TL said, if you bought the car recently, then contact the seller about the other key. Your key should have either a round head, or is grey in color; whereas the regular key will have a square head (or be black in color if both heads are the same).
