civicplaya20
It's right on the fire wall in front of the passanger seat. The only thing that worries me about taking it off and putting on a new one is my friend said something about the tricky part being to depressurize it, so that's why I ask
88hondaspeed
It's right on the fire wall in front of the passanger seat. The only thing that worries me about taking it off and putting on a new one is my friend said something about the tricky part being to depressurize it, so that's why I ask When you depressurize it, put a rag around the fitting as you loosen it. When the pressure is released, the rag will catch it and not your face. It is basically simple. Just be sure you put the lines back on straight or you will ruin the filter and screw up the threads. It might go on and stay on, but you will lose gas pressure. Don't forget to check for leaks also.
Boston92civic
Unscrew the gas cap before you disconnect the fittings. That will release some of the pressure from the system.
ilikespeeding
I would hope that the Civic has an in-tank fuel filter. If so, pull the fuel pump assembly out which is below the rear bench or rear passanger seats (coupe or sedan) and there should be a fuel filter if thats what you're talking about. Fuel filter services pay a tenth of an hour at the dealership so it shouldnt be that hard. Then again, I just started and Im not even sure if the civic has two fuel filters. Surely a Civic has two filters. If you're changing the in-tank pump
EH6TunerDaniel
I think he means the fuel filter up on the firewall, if you havent already changed it, take out the relay for the fuel pump, start the car, let it idle until it dies, ghange the filter out, put the relay back in, let the fuel pump pump the fuel back up to the lines and stuff, then start it and you should be good.
