Brake lights are stuck on.

Yesterday when I got off of work and walked to my car I noticed my brake lights were on, thought I was seeing things, and ignored it. Last night I went outside and realizedd they were actually on. and wont turn off unless I disconnect the battery.

Anyone know how I might fix this?

check the switch on the brake pedal, you can adjust them or it might need replacing ,either way its an easy job

yeah...same thing happened to a friends malibu....just check above the brake pedal...there should be a little switch that clamps on it...make sure its still secured or that something didn't get shorted on it...

If your cruise stopped working after the fix, most likely you have a bad brake light switch. Never replaced one myself, so I'm not sure about the cost. The cruise system runs through the brake light switch.
