michellerodrigues Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 I cant figure out how to get my indiglo gauges to work. I got them in and all that stuff...which wire goes to which? I didnt get any instructions either. So I am stuck..can anyone help me and guide me through this process...I am sure its easy I just dont wanna mess anything up.
cranny Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 usually the gauges come with a power supply or inverter and an on and off pad , some come with a dimmer. any gauges ive installed are straight forward , wires from gauges go into inverter and on and off switch plugs into inverter as well as dimmer if supplied. basically they should all be able to plug only into the spot they belong.
airjordan223 Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 can you wire indiglo gauges so they work on the column like your normal ones would?
cranny Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 not any ive seen. ill tell ya why is the power inverter that runs them doesnt turn them on the switch does. so you turn your parklights on right and that puts power to the inverter but doesnt turn the gauges on cause you need to hit the switch still to tell the inverter you want them on. theres no way to cross the switch to have them on all the time cause as soon as you turn your parlights off the inverter loses power and resets. so when power is applied again they dont come on till you cross the switch wires again(send signal to come on). ive never tried hookin a relay in the place of a switch , maybe that would work i dont know.
Blackoutt Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 I ran my to the little switch with the parking light also my tach is hooked to the same thing
