how big are they? i've heard a couple things..... try on a really hot day, let it sit in the sun, then put an ice cube on the dent, and the temp change will cause it to pop out, or if you can get a good seal w/ a plunger, i've seen that work.

those things are stupid, your gluing it to ur car, why not just glue something else, and pull. pretty much doing the same thing for free.

I'm afraid if I do that I'll pull too hard and it will be raised in that spot some. I'll try the ice cube thing. Do you know anyone that this has actually worked for though? I can't see that working is why I ask. They are about an inch to 1 1/2 inches across.

i've never done it, but a guy at a body shop told my mom to try it for a dent on her beetle. i'm assuming it has worked before, but i dunno for sure

Yeah, I doubt I could get it hot enough with a blow dryer. I might try it from the back of the fender tonight before I install the fender.

dentmast does the ice cube thing? I haven't gotten an actual quote yet just found a couple of sites that said door ding sized dents start a 55 per dent.

no, they beat it out from the back. my brother got one out for $30. they do deals i think if you get a few.

No I meant heat it up really close with a blow dryer from the back (to protect the paint) then hit it with an ice cube on the outside of the fender. I'm afraid to beat it out from the back cause I know I could easily over do it and have it caved outward.

My dad won a Ding King. It didn't work worth a damn!! I tried it on multiple size dents. It's junk.

A friend bought a small rubber paint roller a inch wide, and laid his fender on some carpet, and carefully rolled out a couple of nice size dents!! I think you buy them in the craft dept., but it would be hard to over roll it, and the rubber don't leave little dings like when pounding, and I've seem that it actually works.

Might be worth the couple bucks to try!!

I've taken dents out of a fender before by partially filling an old sock with sand and a hammer. The sand will help distribute the impact of the hammer so you don't get a high spot when the dent pops out. The roller idea mentioned before is good too, any craft store or Home Depot in the wallpaper section will have a roller. Just take your time with it.

i have a "Pops-A-Dent" and it's probably the worst device ever created. It looks just like your pictures. I've tried on small, medium, and large dents and followed the instructions step by step and it's never worked. The only thing that happens is your knuckles get all bloody b/c when you twist the middle part to loosen the glue it shoots off into your knuckles and still doesn't do a damn thing.

Oh well. Too little too late on the sand and rubber roller idea's. I went ahead and put it on last night. I'll just get some quotes from different places. Thanks for all the replies though.

get your self a slide puller. its the proper tool and you have way more control over the pulling action. true slide pullers for puling dents have rods you actually weldto the car than pull dents out and cut rods back off.

That will ruin the paint though. I bought this fender because it color matched my car, so don't want to have to get it painted.
