tylka Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 I'm trying to install a Momo wheel in my 95 Del sol, but I am having trouble getting the SRS control apart (the one right behind the steering wheel where the horn contacts are. Does anybody have any info that would help me out? Thank you in advance.
cranny Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 yeah dont be in front of that airbag if it goes off thats my advice , lolo , it could kill you stone dead where you sit. take that to honda and get it done, well worth it.
blackdelsol Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 yea. lol imagine what they would say at the honda place... airbags hurt anyways. I hate them.
cranny Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 guess the rules arent the same everywheres maybe they wont do it there i dont know. sorry for helpin.
BigBirdSucks Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Don't trip out, just unplug the yellow plug that is connected to the SRS unit and it won't deploy in your face. Plus, that was a stupid comment cranny made cause honda will have no part in removing a airbag and replacing it with an aftermarket wheel with no airbag. That isn't even legal not to mention the liability issues Honda would have to assume. Just be patient and logical. actually, the comment you made was somewhat stupid in itself. unplugging the yellow pulg could result in the airbag going off.
xalexjx@yahoo.com Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 ok newb calm down....and if you pull that wire with the battery hooked up it will go off.....anyways whats wrong with the stock steering wheel? take it to a honda dealer..., they did my brothers, they just make you sign a whole bunch of stuff..if they will do it...every dealer is different
Humphries Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 alex you're still a noob.. and you're worse than him.
blackdelsol Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 QUOTE(Sol Survivor @ Feb 18 2006, 02:32 AM) Oh really that makes sense, maybe mine was faulty cause it didn't go off when I unplugged it. If thats your logic then go for it. Did the signal to set it off come from lightning or what? This forum is full of stupid ass's get a frackin clue, biatch! did you seriously quote yourself right after you posted that? wow thats a new level of stupidity. and you're lucky your airbag didn't go off.
BigBirdSucks Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 This forum is full of stupid ass's get a frackin clue, biatch! says the guy that lists a chipped ECU as a worthwile mod... anyway, it's happened on multiple ocations. instead of second guessing someone who's actually researched it, why don't you try researching it yourself. teamdelSol should have info about it.
