After all the trouble I had with my transtop roof (see last post) i got the bits i needed off trusty ebay fitted them and everthing seems ok...oh except the car wont start.:( .. i dont seem to be getting a spark at all iv'e checked all the fuses and they all seem fine charged battery (u never know) and checked all the connections. It's been broke since i was farting round with my roof and shorted a blue and red wire which was in the bigbundle behind the passengers seat :-", however this only blew the fuse for the interior light so im assuming it must be to do with that. (light still works fine ance fuse replaced) A mate of mine reackons it could be the coil or the flywheel sensor both of which i have no idea about. So if anyone has had this problem or can think of anything else so my mate can look at it, it would be much appriciated. cheers

you know i dont know much about eletrical work but heres wat i think. i got my 97 sol in october. it still had the original battery. i noticed that it started a lil slow, never had trouble starting it ever, it just never started right right up as soon as you twist the key. so i buy some altezza tail lights and redid my headlights and started tinkering around with some underglows. my car was on when i was messing with my underglows and stuff. so i turn em off and leave my headlight switch as well as my emergency signlas on so i can make sure the tail lights i put on worked right and that i didnt do ne the wrong. i left my lights on for about 45 seconds. and ym car wouldnt start. so i figure that if your car has the original battery in it still, and your car as at least 9 years old, maybe perhaps its the battery.

when you say your gettin no spark , do you mean when you turn key it wont start or you actually have no spark at the plugs?does it turn over at all?if so slow fast?does it sound like its draggin. i had my civic in garage one time while i was painting it and welding on it so on. when job was all done car wouldnt start. turned over but wouldnt start. oddly enough it was flooded real bad i mean real bad , held gas pedal to floor and just kept crankin it.finally got it goin.

no i pulled the plugs out and turned it over and theres no spark at all. ive charged the battery and theres plenty of power in the starter motor when i turn the key. i hear the ignition modules are common to go on hondas and someone mentioned a way to test it by measuring theresistance across the coil anyone know what the values should be or whee to test it by. or any other ideas

cheers
