Accord noob

I had a really nice intro post all made out, but the internet ate it.

Here's the abbreviated version:

I'm Steve, 21, from Chicago.

I just bought a '94 Accord. It has 88.5K miles, no mods.

I plan on putting a lot of work in to this car, because it has nothing.

Any advice on what I should put into my car would be greatly appreciated.

I'm specifically looking for info on things things like:

-audio/speaker systems

-putting in power locks/windows systems

-security systems

-remote starters

-body kits

-new seats/interior kits

-where to purchase print manuals

-eventually, engine mods, etc.

I'll be perfectly honest in saying that I'm a total noob when it comes to cars, because my brother has always been the "car guy" in the family.

I'm a quick learner and have the appetite for it at the moment, so I would love to hear your suggestions!

edit: I have acess to a garage/lift along with a mechanic to look over/help with any work I might do.

audio: alpine HU

Eclipse, Infinity, or Alpine Speakers

JL, Rockford Fosgate, or Audiobahn Sub

", " " , or " " Amp

Scoche or RF Wires

^

spell check

power locks/windows: good idea

security: unless you live in a bad area, it's unnessessary

remote starters: lame

body kits: lame, get a lip kit if anything

new seats: are yours ripped or something?

interior kits: neons? poo on them

engine: buy an intake, exhaust and header and get some help so you can learn how to install them. Try and install everything that you can your self, I've found it's the best way to learn about working on cars.

peace
