redcoupe Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 125hp @ 6600rpm106tq @ 5200rpm and a direct bolt in for your car too, no modification except the wiring for the vtec and that can be done in 15 minutes Is that the single cam vtec one? I have a Dual Cam ZC, and it was a direct drop in. We had to Jimmy-rig the distribtor(sp?) to work, and we removed the TEC device on the exhaust cam. That was it. Now, if you have a STD/DX, you'll have to do the dual-point coversion. You'll be happy with that for a while if you do that, and it's a little cheaper than a ZC swap. Then later on down the road, you can do the ZC swap. If possible, try to get the ZC tranny too. Stay away from the USDM "ZC", D16a1 I think. It's trash, and don't use the ecu from that motor either. It sucks.
x_outlaw_x Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 that one is the sohc vtec the dohc is 137 hp and 108 torque
Humphries Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 k.. the answer to the "what is a zc" - it is an engine called a zc.
