Are these engines worth fixing up? There's not a lot of parts available for them. What other D series can I swap parts with or is there any other engine I can get proformance parts from that will fit the D17A1? I wanna know everything lol please tell guys!?

Hey I'm new to the Honda world but grew up around a lot of different Honda's feel in love with the atmosphere and finally got me one. But I got the non VTec it was a steal it's been rebuilt it's a 5 speed it's been taken care of really well maintenance kept up really well. I've added a cold air intake and high proformance coils and plugs. I'm wondering what to do next I wanna do headers and full exhaust. I can't find proformance headers. There all stock with the catalytic converter attached. What's a good website for older Honda proformance parts. I need help. Lol and I'm gonna get coil overs soon to make it hug the ground and curves better. But it's my everyday driver so I can't really tear it apart like I'd like to. So what are some things to do to a non VTEC Civic LX that would help it make more power and run faster and smoother and where can I find these parts

Hey guys and gals I just bought a 2002 Honda Civic LX 5-speed. It's got a D17A1 in it (non VTech) it's been rebuilt but not for proformance purposes. I just bought it and put a cold air intake on it and got high proformance coils and spark plugs on the way and wanna get headers and full exhaust next. But every time I look up headers this engine I have has the catalytic converter in with the header it's so hard to find proformance parts for this car. What's a good website for Honda proformance parts? And I'm looking into a stage 2-3 clutch idk what I should do next. I wanna do this right I've got some money saved so I'm not trying to go the cheap route. I just want it done right. I need a Honda know it all lol I've always wanted to fix up a Honda Civic and now I got one and can't find many parts. Probably need to look into swapping it for a VTEC
