  1. Took my 2017 Honda Civic in for service when the check engine light was on. The Honda Service department found a hole in the fuel line and fuel pipe caused by rodent damage and recommended replacing the fuel feed pipe set. The total cost was $2147 for parts and labor. Can someone explain to me how a rodent could chew a hole into the fuel line? Is there something about the material used for the fuel line that would attract rodents? Certainly, this problem must have occurred in other Honda Civics and/or other models of Honda cars. I intend to contact Customer Service about this incident and find out if there is any recourse. My complaint has to do with the quality of Honda parts, not the service.
