yes you can run the engine without vtec wired , but why would you? it will take you minutes to wire it. plane the head is a good idea , bump compression and renew the surface , not too much though , you dont want valve clearance issues.

hey is it possible to run W/O Vtec connected??

ill wire the VTEC later right now im tryin to get it up and runnin i just need all that other stuff im just gonna machine the head shave it to get higher comp.
