maverick01
Our '04 Accord, 2.4L, had a slow leak from the power steering pump that we've been keeping an eye on for a while. The leak suddenly increased and the battery voltage warning light came on. Replaced the power steering pump (took two tries - first rebuilt pump didn't work). Good news is the power steering works fine. Bad news is we retained the battery voltage light (and confirmed, ABS 61-1 code). We also had an intermittent airbag idiot light. Could the power steering fluid leak have caused the 61-1 code and/or airbag light to come on? Appreciate any advice. My shop is about 30 minutes from home - mostly by interstate. Hate to get stuck in between. Thanks.

maverick01
Any point in trying to remove oil from the alternator, or is it best to replace?
