Frankie Guros
In the heat wave my accelerator died about a month ago. The second I drove my 1998 Honda Civic LX away from the mechanic after they installed a new accelerator, my SRS light came on. It has never previously stayed on in the 7+ years I've owned her. The error code is 1-5: short to ground, driver's airbag. The mechanic reset the code with their scanner (after looking up the code for me), but it came back on immediately. Could there be any connection between the accelerator replacement and the SRS error? I've never had any problems with it before, so to me the timing was not some chance occurrence. Thank you all! smoothmover
Maybe the mechanic accidentally pulled a fuse for the SRS system while performing troubleshooting.
