tools needed

assortment of metric sockets/wrenches

assortment of extensions.

1/2 breaker bar

3/8 ratchet

impact gun

assortment of pliers

assortment of screwdrivers

disconnect intake and exhaust from exhaust manifold/down pipe

remove axles

remove slave cylinder

remove wiring harness

remove a/c compressor but make sure to recover Freon

remove ps from mount bracket

jack under engine

remove mount bolts

remove engine with hoist

remove transmission from old engine

attach pressure plate, flywheel and clutch with alignment tool after torquing to adequate specs

bleed slave cylinder

install the opposite of how you took it out

tip: take a piece of tape and put one on each side of the connections of the wiring harness with a corresponding number. it makes it easier to reconnect the wiring harness

do oil change on new engine before starting. replace oil after 1000 miles

if engine has been sitting without being run, make sure to turn it over at the crank to see if it's seized or has compression

if engine has been sitting, coat piston rings with oil to prevent scarring on cylinders by spraying a bit of lubricant in the spark plug holes

replace timing belt and water pump while it's out of the car. it's only 75 bucks worth of parts.. and makes it much simpler than doing it after installation

replace spark plugs with ngk plugs and wires

hope this helped!
