Hey everyone, I want to convert to manual steering. I can't seem to find anyone who sells a manual steering rack for my accord. I read somewhere something about making it so that the rack is vented and it would work like a manual rack. Any thoughts on this?

im pretty sure you can loop the lines, but its not really a manual rack, why do you want to go manual rack?

Its really more of an experiment to try and eliminate parasitic drag. My belt came off the other day and I have been driving it like that for a few days now and its not bad until I'm at a stand still. I would also like to clean up the engine bay a little and removing the power steering would free up a bit of space...not much but any bit counts :) .

yeah, loop your hoses if you aren't worried about turning the wheel, id recommend keeping the pump for when someone wants to buy the car...
