front of motor, right between motor and trans will have a letter then number (d16z6, d15b7, b18c1) or something like that stamped on it. to tell if it has vtec, there is a green plug right next to the dizzy.

well i found out it is a D15B8 thats what the stamp said so, but i cant tell if its vtec? i dont see any green plugs, well i found out what u was talking about was the vtec solenoid plug, and no the car doesnt have one, so im guessing that means its a non vtec motor, sadness..

no sun roof, no power any thing, and i just found out its a cx, i think is what the paper work said, and i found out that i have to either 1 rebuild the motor or 2 replace it, soo i think im going to replace it, so what would be the best motor to put in its place? im looking to go all out, but in steps want to shoot for over 500 hp with turbo, what block could handle it? some one told me the best one to get was the B16B motor?

Best would be b18c, next b18c1 with lsd trans, b16b then b16a then b18a/b. With a lsd gsr, b16 or type r trans. But for the money you could do k20.....
