I have been driving my Civic on the stock clutch for 2 years in April. It has just recently started slipping. I need a drag/street clutch that has a nice grab and can handle 500+ HP, I know I do t have it yet, but I will soon.

I have heard that ACT clutches are really nice, but it says that I have to have an Acura RSX Type S fly wheel... Do those fit in my stock clutch housing?

I could really use some insight on this issue for I have been looking for a whole and not being able to run my baby to her potential is killing me!! Lol!

Thank you.

I have a Greddy Turbo Kit with Stage 2 Intercooler pushing 6.5 lbs with 238 HP to the wheel.

I plan on reinforcing the internals, getting a K Pro chip, upping my boost to 15-25 lbs and a methanol injection system. I figure it will put out way more than I anticipate that is why I said. 500 + HP, she is near 300 now. I just need something that I can street race and take to the strip when I have time.

Sorry, lol, I thought it listed my car when I filled out the survey thing, I'm new to the whole 'forum' thing.

2005 Honda Civic Si Hatch, K20A3 engine, you have everything else listed already.

I drive the car a lot right now because it is the primary vehicle, that's why I want a street/drag clutch. I don't race street very often and mostly just put around, that's how I've kept the stock clutch in tact with double the power for so long. I want to be able to boost launch or just dump it on the highway whenever someone tries to out do it. I want a lot of 'grab' when I release the pedal. I can acclimate my daily driving to how the clutch is, that's not an issue.

Is that enough info? Sorry it took a while.

Really don't understand what your issue is...

I didn't come on here thinking I was hot stuff or anything, yes I have raced on the street, does that make me a 'street racer'? No. I get in my car everyday and in my town face persecution for driving a Honda and not a deisel. When te douche bags who think they have something with their stock little camaro, mustang, etc pull up next to my at a light, going 40 mph, whenever, I show them what a tuner can do. I have been trying to make a name for Honda in my town for quite some time.

My street racing is minimal at max. And if I do it, it is very late, no cars in sight other than us and my max speed to cut off is 100 mph. Anything past that is ridiculous. You can't act all high and mighty like you have absolutely 100% never participated in a street race.

I have read a lot of your feed back to others and so far I have not read anything as rude as what you said to me, so before you go and say crap like that, please, direct it in a manor that is a little bit more tasteful that telling me to go kill myself.

Damn sarah, you sound like me. And street racing is was gives a bad name to hondas, stop it.

Act makes a clutch directly for your car. Just call them, theyll hook you up.

Thanks! I appreciate it. It isn't all street racing that gives Honda a bad name man, a lot is te little teenagers who get a Honda, throw a can on it an think they're hot shit and do tuner fly by's on everyone.

Street racing is irresponsible and stupid. The fact the Honda owners (LIKE YOU) go around and try to 'make a name for Honda' by driving like a moron and street racing is the problem. You think people are like 'oh he's so fast in his Honda.. I have respect for him now'? THEY DONT. They look at you like some dumb teenager trying to race around in a Honda. There are speed limits for a reason. Want to make a name for Hondas? Don't be a moron. Act like a responsible owner and adult and take it to the track.

Can't afford a track? Sell the car. Can't find time for the track? Make time or you don't really want to do it.

Any dumbass can 'street race'. It actually takes 'some' talent to get a perfect launch and light at a prepped track. Want more of a challenge? Take the car to a high performance driving day at a local track so you can figure out what real driving is.

and btw get your car properly dyno tuned. Don't bother with a chip.

ACT make decent clutches.. also look into spec to see if they make one for your car

Thats great advice! I appreciate that and I'll take your other 'advice' into consideration. Not the tree at 100 mph though, sounds painful of not instantaneous and I don't have that great of luck! LoL!

ACT Clutchs are the best, other brands might seem like they have lots of features but at the end they can't top off the reliability and cosistency of ACT Clutches :)
