ive got a 88 civic hatchback and im having some motor trouble. i came into a 1.6 motor for about 60 bucks with a bad ring (oil was seeping into the #2 plug) im going to rebuild the 1.6 if it can be just a direct swap. the motor mounts line up im just not sure about the shift linkages and other parts. also i will pay cash and shipping for performance parts that will fit this vehicle. it is a 88 civic hatchback dx model currently with a 1.5.

1.5 and 1.6 from which cars... we need more info.

most likely you won't have a problem with all the bolts, its wiring that can be an issue.

Also need to know if your swapping in a multi-fuel port injection motor in. Being if your car is currently in a dpfi state you will need to do the appropriate wiring.
