OTiS
a couple of months ago my 360s disc drive went out. so today i went and paid 30 for a used one. hooked everything up, put it back together and tried to play a game. it went to a white screen that said to play this disc please put in xbox 360 console, or something very similair to that, and below it theres a bunch of other languages. . it plays movies just not games. both disc drives are phillips and benq. i took the hard drive off, and cleared the cache, tried 3 diff games and called xbox support (those bastards were tryin to charge me $300 to send the pos back to them). anybody got suggestions??? OTiS
rewind time, send it back to microsoft for them to fix instead, and have a working console. I'd try n find a disc drive that was the same make as yours! disc drive is same make. only diffrence was the manufacture date. and sending it to microsoft would be $300+ and theres no guarantee they would fix it. my warranty ran out. we bought it when halo 3 came out. and its one of the halo 3 edition xbox with the green and orange. all together id say it has about a year and a half worth of play time on it. and iv come to the conclusion that microsoft sucks. iv heard ALOT of negative reviews about the xbox 360 and the older one. the only plus to xbox is that it can take a 9mm bullet. buddy shot his cuz it wouldent work at close range (standing over top of it if i remember correctly) and the bullet didnt even come out the other side. OTiS
you gotta show them whose boss tried but failed. ill try again this week. would rather just fix it myself tho. iv heard you can reflash the disc drive and iv heard ill need to take the circuit board off the old disc drive and put it on the new one since the old one has the same numbers as my xbox. anybody kno if thats true or if that will work??
