I've stood back long enough and watched this forum continue on unmoderated. There's nothing wrong with having initiative and wanting to help the forum. As mentioned before am already a mod somewhere else so I know how to use the powers that are given to me. I have no delusions of grandeur there, nor would I here. Sorry, I never have asked for a promotion at the company staff meeting. Usually I would ask for a promotion behind closed doors in the boss's office instead of publicly prostrating myself. If you think you'd be a good police officer or join the military, do you wait for them to ask you? Sometimes, but the vast majority you must take the intiative yourself. I'm confident in my abilities here. I don't like anyone bashing someone else. i think theres fun bashing and then just bein a dork bashing. look at how many times dwayne (pocketrocket, v92hatchx) has been bashed and asked for it to stop. hell iv bashed on him but its been humor and he knows that. ya theres people on here who sign up and ask questions that weve seen be asked 50billion times. get over it. help them out. point them in a helpful direction instead of the bs talk you give them. we were all there at one point wernt we?? another thing i hate on here is people look at who made the thread and decide not to open it. if someone post something it usually means they need help dontcha think? or they wanna know your opinions. but you dont have to be an airhead in your opinion do ya? Dwaynes problem is that he says one thing, and does something completely different. He may be asking for the bashing to stop, but he's not tanking ANY steps to make it stop for him. I almost think he wants it to continue. Attention, even bad attention is better than none. No, there is a search feature for a reason. Even if you don't actually search, but say you tried, I'll cut a person slack over somebody not making the effort at all. Not always true. There are some posters, where you can look at the title of the thread, and the thread starter and know the topic is going to be complete fail. Dwayne and his new car every 6 weeks threads are a prime example. Also, if you ask for an opinion, you must be prepared for whatever that opinion is going to be. Good or bad. We do step in of course for certain things when it starts to go over board. we try to give everybody the benefit of the doubt and treat everybody as adults, even when they don't always act like it. Pornography, extreme bashing, defaming others photos, spam, trolling and excessive language are all items we like to address. My rule of thumb is, would I want my child to see this? I don't want to have to implement a zero bashing rule, and honestly, I shouldn't have to. I think people on here should spend a little more time assisting others who are asking questions rather than wasting time with useless posts.
