Virus Hack on Site

Recommended Posts

So somebody decided to hack the site again and embed an Iframe virus into the site. I had removed it but they went and did it again. This issue has been resolved again and hopefully it shouldn't come back as certain things were changed that should prevent this from happening again.

Found out that passwords held with my hosting provider were compromised. Issue resolved. This does not affect your passwords with HF in any way. In fact, all members passwords are encrypted so that not even I have access to them for security reasons.

It would be a good idea to have your virus software updated and to use a safer web browser if you don't already.

If you use Firefox, you'll notice this virus doesn't affect you. You can download Firefox 2.0 for more secure browsing by scrolling to the bottom of HondaForums.com and clicking the banner link.

If you don't have antivirus software and are not willing to pay for it, there are a couple free applications available. The one I use and recommend is Avast Antivirus and a lot of people also use AVG.

Thanks for your patience with this and we're sorry if this affected you negatively in any way.
