BigBirdSucks Posted January 22, 2006 Share Posted January 22, 2006 the shop that does all my work just finished a K20A2 swap into an EG coupe. it'd be a pretty good race for me. the thing about the K20 swaps is that you have to use a JDM type R ECU. I would rather call it a B18C5 than a 3-whatever... see you can name all them gas guzzeling names but i can name alot of import engine codes like B17A1, B18C1, B18C5, B16A, B16A2, B16A3, RB26DETT, RB25DET, SR20DET, SR20 3SGTE, C32B, K20A2, K20A3, H22A2, H23, H24, VQ35... and i know nothing about american toothpicks... Timmythewop89 Posted February 17, 2006 Share Posted February 17, 2006 yea basically all the displacements AMERICAN MUSCLE mentioned are considered the types. the new engines, like the ls1 ls2 ls6 sl7 lt1 blah blah, yea, but for older motors, they didnt have names like that. their names were their displacements.
